Like most of my teachers say to me; "To every problem, there is a most simple solution" and I believe that there are solution to the negative impact of urban sprawl. First of all, I shall start with the transportation problem, in order to reduce the amount of carbon emission due to the traffic jam (one of the negative effect of urban sprawl), I have come up with a good solution to reduce the use of cars and motorcycles and the solution is; Maglev Train or Magnet Train. Maglev train would work due to the fact that it uses magnetic levitation (electromagnetic), doesn't require fossil fuel (efficiency), it is quiet, and it reaches 600 km/second. Increasing the price of suburban areas (tax) could also work because people tend to be uninterested with objects which cost a lot of money and selling apartments at cheaper prices may also work (apartments are the most efficient way to live).
I've been thinking about the negative impacts and positive impacts that urban sprawl could actually have on the environment, and after putting some time on my research, I have found the answers. So, there are obviously effects from Urban Sprawls and the negative effects are something we should seriously care about. The negative effects due to urban sprawl are; Increase in public expenditure, increased traffic, health issues, environmental issues and impact on social lives. The increased number of traffic is a very serious matter due to the fact that when there are more cars stopping on the road, the amount of air pollution also increases and this leads to environmental issues and health issues. Urban sprawl also displaces the wildlife of a certain area and this could harm the environment. Other than those stated above, Urban Sprawl could lead to deforestation because humans need to cut down trees in order to gain a larger land and the demands of houses in suburban areas are increasing. The only positive effect that urban sprawl could give us is that, this leads to less over population in certain cities or town but it won't happen in a short period of time.
A lot of people doesn't know what is the meaning of "Urban Sprawl" but now I'm here to explain the meaning behind it. Urban Sprawl refers to the migration of human population from a crowded or populated town or cities into a low populated rural land (usually turned into a suburban area). People from big cities migrate to these areas in order to try to find a better place to live in. These acts were already done by our ancestors and from people around the world that lived before us. Suburbs are becoming over populated due to the high amount of human population seeking new places to live.
